Cattery - Winterfell Norwegian Forests Cats
 Who are we?
First of all we are animal lovers, we decided to be here because we love being surrounded by them.Their health and wellbeing is our top priority. We breed Norwegian Forest Cat on a small scale family, we are located in the city of Barcelona (Spain), we are Fifé members and our club is ASFE (823 and 824). Our afixe is Winterfell (nº 2.164).
Winterfell's name comes from a series of books of the author George RR Martin called "A Song of Ice and Fire." Winterfell is the capital of the north, a huge fortress surrounded by snowy woods, where it develops a part of the novel.

Why Norwegian Forest Cat?
The day we thought about expanding our family, even before deciding that we wanted a Norwegian Forest Cat, we had some things clear: We wanted a wild-looking cat, very large. We wanted a graceful feline and robust, with long hair and majestic gesture, and of course the character must be above all gentle and affectionate. We were willing to make some concession with the antics, but never tolerate the slightest hint of violence.
After an intense study of the different races and after attending some cat shows, we decided that the Norwegian Forest Cat was exactly what we were looking for. On one side he is a large cat, moreover, we loved from the beginning his marked features, his thick coat and noble figure. The deal, however, is surprisingly tame, with both children and adults as with other animals that may have at home, making him the perfect companion.
The decision to become breeders was the next step, the logical consequence of admiration for the species in general and this particular race. |

Let's start!
If we have to establish a beggining, we could say that Winterfell born on 29 April 2009, the date that Luthien, our first Norwegian Forest cat, shared this first dream under the same roof. But we would not be entirely fair, Winterfell is therefore something that was always inside us, humans and cats there are and have been behind this adventure that we share with you. From this website we offer you a piece of our lives.
