Luthien came home on 29 April 2009. I perfectly remember that first day. She burst into affection after a long journey, and I could not stop staring her. I waited that moment so impatient and with anxiety, that having her there with me suddenly filled all my needs. I spent all morning watching her eat, sleep and curl up beside me. I remember that she often tried to meow but that small and timid meow died before becoming a sound.
She has been so lovely since the day she came. Her youth made her become a stealthed feline that thinks every moment in a new mischief to catch us off guard. When we discover her, she puts her eyes and looks at me. She knows I'm not able to scold her. This little smug diva spends hours looking at herself in the mirror, sometimes I wonder if she's really aware of herself, if she's admiring her own wild beauty at the mirror, or maybe she looks carefully that cat standing at the other side of the mirror who never dare to raise a paw and touch her.
Luthien suffered a pyometra in May 2010 when our first plans for her were about to be consummated. We decided to sterilize her, so as not to endanger his life. She lives today with us peacefully and happily with her new life as a neutral cat.
